After Ramjas, Khalsa college also cancels street competition due to ABVP pressure

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) the student wing of RSS registered its presence in Khalsa college forming a pressure to cancel street programme of Khalsa college. The incident happened after the  programme of Ramjas College was also cancelled by the same presence of ABVP.

After interference of ABVP, Ramjas college cancelled its two day seminar on “culture of protest” following that Khalsa college also cancelled out its street play.

As reported, university president (DUSU), Amit Tawar told media that any anti-national sentiment will not be tolerated and then there will be no guarantee of any security for the programmes. For your knowledge, in this programme JNU student Umar Khalid was also to speak in this programme.

According to the news, ABVP has objection to plays as it sees anti-national sentiment in them. For the sake of information, nine other colleges were supposed to partcipate in this event.
