Yoga guru Ramdev on Wednesday met the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who appears to have become his fan.
Lalu said that people were jealous of Ramdev because he was highly successful.
Lalu said, “His products are in demand and he is doing good for the country.”
While talking to media in a jloint press conference, Lalu said that whatever Ramdev earned, he spent on charity.
When asked to comment if he would promote Ramdev’s Patanjali products, Lalu said that he was a permanent brand ambassador of his products.
Lalu had invited Ramdev for a yoga session, which soon morphed into an endorsement session for Patanjali products.
“In normal soaps, there is excess soda, but not Ramdev’s soap. It will keep the skin healthy,” Lalu said.
According to NDTV, Ramdev also described as a “conspiracy” the reports that powdered bone had been found in products sold by Ramdev’s brand.
Ramdev then decided to do an on-the-spot demo, furiously rubbing some gold cream on Lalu’s forehead for that “instant glow.”
“It will add beauty to your face. We make Ayurvedic products, foreign companies use chemicals,” said the yoga guru, proceeding to feed the politician an energy bar.

The meeting assumed significance because Ramdev is a known BJP supporter and had even campaigned for PM Narendra Modi during the Lok Sabha elections. While Lalu has built his entire political career criticising communal politics.
This meeting came a day after Lalu attacked Ramdev in Haryana.
Speaking in Rewari on Tuesday, Lalu had said, “If the Union government is really serious about probing corruption or wrongful gains, it should probe into the wealth amassed by babas over the period of the past 18 months. Sadhus have now turned traders. Baba Ramdev is selling mustard oil.”
