Did AAP Punjab convenor resign? Chotepur takes to Twitter to deny report

On a day Aam Aadmi Party released its first lift of 19 candidates for Punjab elections, scheduled to be held next year, a section of media in the state reported the resignation of AAP Punjab convenor Sucha Singh Chotepur.

A report by PTC channel had reportedly broadcast a report on Chotepur’s alleged resignation in protest of his differences with the party leadership.

However, Chotepur wasted no time in taking to microblogging site to deny the report broadcast by PTC channel

His tweet said, “News running about my Resignation on PTC Channel is a FAKE News…!! Beware of Rumours,its a fake news..!!”

AAP on Monday released the list of 19 candidates declaring that Supreme Court lawyer, HS Phoolka, will contest from Dakha.

Among others, Mohan Singh Phallianwala, ex MP from Ferozepur, will contest from Ferozepur (Rural), while Inderbir Singh Nijjer, M.B.B.S., M.D, Environmentalist to contest from Amritsar (South).
