Unrest was seen on the streets of Srinagar on Friday as protesters clashed with police and security personnel following prayers. The protestors were seen waving flags of Pakistan and ISIS as the cops had to use tear gas shells to disperse them.

After the incident, the Congress was quick to attack the Jammu and Kashmir government over the issue.

“Pak flag is flying in Kashmir valley since the day Mufti Mohammad took over as CM with support of BJP & PM,” Congress leader PC Chacko said.

“Central and J&K government are going soft on separatists. The separatists are getting assistance from across the border and are challenging the government,” he alleged.
