It’s 45th birthday of Rahul Gandhi, and the wishes are pouring in for the Congress vice president.
Among the people who wished him on his birthday was Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His tweet said, “Wishing the Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi a Happy Birthday. I pray for his good health & long life.”
The hashtag #Happy BirthdayRG was a top twitter trend throughout the morning on Friday.
Rahul has visited abroad for his birthdays in the past, but this time he’s chosen to stay in India.
The Congress VP has had to deal with a series of electoral defeats for the party starting from the Loksabha elections last year. He went on a long leave reportedly to ‘reflect on the election defeats’ earlier this year.
His return, however, has seen him in a much changed avatar with the young Gandhi consistently launching attacks against the central government.
