Poll strategist, Prashant Kishor, is personally orchestrating the election campaign of both Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, Janta Ka Reporter can confirm now.
On Friday, the strategist, popularly referred as PK, was seen in Agra, where both the incumbent chief minister and his alliance partner and Congress’s vice president were busy carrying out election campaigns.
PK too was spotted in Agra, sitting in a car while actively monitoring ‘every move’ of the two leaders.
This was the second joint roadshow by two leaders since forming the alliance.
According to sources close to Congress and Samajwadi Party, both Rahul and Akhilesh have hired his services primarily to ensure the alliance’s victory in a tough triangular contest in India’s largest state.
PK had first shot to fame after successfully choreographing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election campaign in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
He then parted ways with the BJP to assist Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance in 2015 Bihar elections. The grand alliance registered a historic mandate causing near decimation of the saffron party and its alliance parties in the state.
Uttar Pradesh, which has 403 seats, goes to polls in seven phases with the first phase starting on 11 February.
The results for all five states, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur will be out on 11 March.
