Noted lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan has apologised for his tweet calling Lord Krishna a legendary eve-teaser. He has also deleted the controversial tweet.
He tweeted, “I realise that my tweet on Romeo squads&Krishna was inappropriately phrased&unintentionally hurt sentiments of many ppl. Apologize&delete it.”

In his tweet targetting Uttar Pradesh’s anti-Romeo squad, on 2 April Bhushan had tweeted, “Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser.Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes AntiKrishna squads?”
He had, however, soon issued a clarification, “My tweet on Romeo brigade being distorted. My position is: By the logic of Romeo Brigade, even Lord Krishna would look like eve teaser. We have grown up with legends of young Krishna teasing Gopis. The logic of Romeo squad would criminalise this.Didnt intend to hunt sentiments.”
The BJP and VHP had then filed a complaint against Bhushan for his ‘derogatory’ tweet against Lord Krishna.
