Pooja Bhatt holds up mirror to so-called patriotic Indians baying for Priyanka Chopra’s blood

Actor Priyanka Chopra was recently forced to apologise for story line in a recent episode of Quantico, where Indian nationalists were seen plotting a nuclear attack in the US in a bid to defame Pakistan.

The scene kicked up a huge storm in India with the so-called nationalists launching a concerted campaign against the Quantico star. Many even demanded her removal as the brand ambassador of Samsung for allegedly defaming India abroad, while others asked to never return to India. A nervous Priyanka was forced to issue an apology even though she had no role to play in deciding the Quantico’s plot.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka had written, “I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I’m a proud Indian and that will never change.”

She’s now found a support in actor Pooja Bhatt, who slammed her critics highlighting their hypocrisy over the issue of nationalism. Pooja wrote, “When Priyanka Chopra makes a mark for herself Internationally we claim her achievements as our own & then threaten to ban her films & make her apologise for a work of fiction that has been created by someone else. Can we please attempt to be larger than that?”

Pooja also shut up a troll, who mocked her response by asking if she had started ‘doing drugs now?’ Pooja replied, “Yes it is a drug called ‘reality’. Goes well with ‘tolerance’ & can be enhanced with a pinch or truckload of salt depending on one’s outlook to life.”

Pooja has been incredibly forthright with her views on burning social issues. Not too long ago, the actor had slammed Amitabh Bachchan for his silence on the brutal gang-rape and murder of an 8-year-old child in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
