Ayaz Akbar, Spokesman of Tehreek e Hurriyat, told jantakareporter.com, ” It was simply a party workers’ convention and nothing else. We had assured authorities that no law and order problem will arise out of our convention. And yet, police used force and injured dozen of our workers. We fail to understand who is running the government in Jammu and Kashmir. The present government of Mufti Mohamad Syed had claimed that he believed in ” Bundook say na goli say baat baney gi boli say”, but it proved an empty talk. ”

Party sources said that their workers from other districts had not been allowed by the police to move towards Srinagar ‘s Hyderpora area where convention venue was proposed.
