Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “despite being a woman” comment has sparked a row on social networking website, Twitter. Reportedly PM Modi had said, “I am happy that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, despite being a woman, is openly saying that she has zero tolerance for terrorism. I would like to congratulate Sheikh Hasina for her courage to deal with terrorism with zero tolerance.” Even though the comment was meant to be praise for Modi’s Bangladeshi counterpart, it received mixed reaction from the public as #despitebeingawoman became a top trend on the micro-blogging website.
