PM Modi will be face of BJP in Bihar polls: Anant Kumar


Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Anant Kumar announced, that the Bharatiya Janata Party will fight upcoming Assembly Elections in Bihar in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Anant Kumar, who has been selected for the role of election in-charge of BJP in poll-bound Bihar stated that BJP will not announce the chief ministerial candidate.

On the other hand, Nitish Kumar has been named as the chief ministerial candidate of the Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress combine for the forthcoming polls.

Earlier on Monday, BJP ally Rashtriya Lok Samta Party had said its party chief and Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha should be declared the alliance’s chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar polls.

Also, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party, another ally of the BJP announced last week that Paswan will not be the NDA’s chief ministerial candidate.

Former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who already announced he would join the NDA in the state, said that he is not in the race for the top job and also clearly mentioned that only a Bharatiya Janata Party leader would be named as the CM candidate.
