Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reiterated the fact that he does not believe in politics which tends to divide people on communal lines. The PM had a meeting with a delegation of Muslim leaders today, during the course of which he stated that he will never speak in a communal tone.

PM Modi’s meeting with the leaders was focused on discussions regarding social, economic and educational issues related to Muslims. The 30-member delegation which interacted with the PM on these various issues was led by Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam of All India Imam Organization. The Prime Minister appreciated the gesture of the leaders, to take time out to meet him, even on the busy festive occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

    • Did you know when and why the Hindu maha sabha which matter formed rss was formed….it was formed after malbar coast massacre of hindus …the secular Gandhi did not utter a word against it…nor did congress condemned it…only Dr Ambedkar was the one who condemned it in his book….Pakistan or partition of India

  2. The astounding response of the Honourable Prime Minister to the delegation of leaders from Muslim community, shows not only his mature statesmanship but also his open heart and mind as a caring PM of all communities. His assertion that he “does not believe in policy which seeks to divide people on communal lines and will never speak communal language” is awesome and most welcome. Equally welcome is the sensible words of the delegation members that they had rejected the divisible politics of vote-banks! No doubt the caste/communal divide has caused great damaged to the Nation. The ground reality and the root cause for the caste/communal divide is mainly due to the corrupt politicians who nurture the policy of “divide and rule” to snatch away the vote-banks of castes/communities! The caste/community leaders too, more often than not, become prey to the cruel and evil designs of political class advertently, inadvertently or for the prominent monetary consideration! One hopes Mr. Modi’s focus on communal harmony, inclusive development and progress of the Nation will see his dream of “Achhe dhin” translated into reality. I pray and hope that every one realises that “All are equal in the creation of God” strengthened by the history of evolution of man kind! “Let noble thoughts come from all directions” and let us take care of each other.
