BJP MP Shatrughan Singha has said that it wasn’t a crime to meet Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal. He made this comment after meeting Kejriwal at the latter’s residence on Thursday evening.

He told reports, ” It’s not a crime to meet Delhi CM. I came here to talk about Delhi’s development, FTII Issue.  We didn’t discuss elections or politics, we talked about art and culture,”

Kejriwal said that he had discussed his plan to open a film city in Delhi with Sinha.

He said, “Hum Delhi mei Film City bhi kholna chahte hain, is baare mein meri inse(Shatrughan Sinha) charcha huwi. (We want to establish a film city in Delhi. That’s what I discussed with him)”

The political circle was abuzz with all sorts of speculations after news of Sinha meeting Kejriwal began to flash.

The BJP MP has been in news recently for his series of anti-party statements. More recently, he criticised the decision by the Lok Sabha Speaker, a BJP leader, to suspend 25 Congress MPs.

He was also one of those signatories who wrote to President Pranab Mukherjee, asking to consider Yakub Memon’s mercy petition.

Two weeks ago, he had met Narendra Modi’s political rival in Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and had held long discussions.
