Congress President Sonia Gandhi has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of behaving like a king.
Breaking her silence on the controversial celebrations over Modi government’s two years in office, the Congress president said, “Maine aisa kabhi nahi dekha. Woh Desh ke pradhanmantri hai koi shahanshah nahi. (I’ve never seen such thing before. He’s a prime minister not the country’s king). There’s is still so much poverty and drought.”
When asked if there was any truth to the new revelation on her son-in-law, Robert Vadra, being linked to an arms dealer for a property sale in London, Gandhi said that it was a conspiracy by the Modi government.
She said, ” Ye bhi ek conspiracy hai, Congress mukt Bharat ka matlab kya hai? Roz bahana banate hai, galat ilzaam lagate hai. Agar aisi baat hai, to bina bhed bhaav jaanch karo; doodh ka doodh paani ka paani. (This is also a conspiracy. What’s the meaning of (BJP’s campaign for) Congress-free India? They keep making making new excuses and hurling false allegations. If that’s the case, then probe the matter impartially. Everything will be clear).”
