In a late night dramatic cabinet reshuffle, Maharashtra chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, on Saturday removed the controversial minister, Pankaja Munde, from Water Conservation Ministry.
She will, however, continue to retain the Rural Development and Women and Child Development portfolios.
Munde had caught media limelight in April this year for taking selfie while on a trip to visit the drought-hit Latur.
Munde, according to sources, was dropped from Water Conservation Ministry because of courting controversy earlier this year.
Visibly miffed over her removal, Munde tweeted saying she was no longer travelling to Singapore to attend an international water summit as she was no longer ‘minister incharge.’
Her tweeted read, “Reaching singapore tomorrow on monday there is world water leader summit i was invited but now wont attend since i m not minister incharge. (sic)”

And if you thought this behaviour by a cabinet minister reflected an odd behaviour, Munde’s boss’ reaction was even more awkward.
Fadnavis chose to give Munde public chiding by insisting her to travel to Singapore.
Quoting Munde’s original tweet, Fadnavis said, “Of course you must attend WLS 2016.
As a senior Minister you would be representing ‘The Government of Maharashtra'”
