LK Advani’s wife dies of heart attack, PM Modi describes her inspiring figure


BJP leader LK Advani’s wife Kamla Advani died on Wednesday. She was 83 years old.

According to media reports, she had suffered a heart attack and had to be admitted at Delhi’s AIIMS, where she breathed last.

An Indian Express report quoting family sources said that that she had complained of uneasiness and breathlessness and was rushed to the AIIMS where doctors tried to revive her but in vain.

“She suffered cardiac arrest,” they said.

Other media reports also suggested that she also suffered from memory loss.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted expressing his condolence over Kamla Advani’s death adding that she was an inspiring figure.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Heartfelt condolences to Sh Advani ji n his family for the sad demise of Smt Kamla Advaniji. May her soul rest in peace”

Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi, too tweeted, “My sincere condolences to Advaniji on the passing away of his wife Smt Kamla Advani.My prayers are with him&his family in this time of grief.”
