Dramatic scene at AAP protests against Jaitley, water canon used


Aam Aadmi Party leader Alka Lamba has reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convince his cabinet colleague and union finance minister Arun Jaitley to resign until the investigations into corruption charges against him were completed.

AAP workers are staging huge protests in central Delhi. They are demanding to walk till Jaitley’s official residence at 3 Krishna Menon Marg, but they are being prevented by police to march in that direction.

Lamba said, “Modiji reminded everybody on Tuesday that Jaitley ji will come out unscathed same as Advani ji had proved his innocence in Hawala case. Advani ji had resigned until the probe was over. Modi ji should tell his finance minister to do the same.”

Today’s protests are also being seen as the AAP’s counter show of strength after Jaitley turned up at a Delhi court with hundreds of his supporters to file defamtion against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other leaders.

Police have resorted to water canons to disperse the AAP protestors after they attempted to move the barricades placed on the road.
