Poet Kumar Vishwas on Friday was at his best as he celebrated Holi with his family and supporters in front of TV cameras. Vishwas also performed a musical poetry commenting on some of the most burning political issues of the recent time.
He began by targetting Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he mocked him using ‘chaukidaar’ jibe. Taking a dig at the central government’s inability to stop the escape of Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya, the poet-politician said, “Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya fled the country as the security guard (PM Modi) remained asleep. And when you question him for his failure, he holds Jawaharlal Nehru responsible.”
Vishwas then also targetted Arvind Kejriwal, with whom his relationship has turned sour, for the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash at the Delhi chief minister’s residence. He said, “A civil servant was thrashed at midnight and the government came to grinding halt. And when you ask them, they hold the government responsible.” Few minutes into his performance, Vishwas returned to repeat these lines again as he told the reporters, “Record it again if you couldn’t record it earlier.”
He also taunted Aam Aadmi Party’s selection of candidates for the Rajya Sabha with ‘python’ and Rs 100 crore jibes. One of the Rajya Sabha candidates sent to the Upper House was Sushil Gupta. His photo with holding a python had gone viral on social media platforms. Gupta had later threatened the rebel AAP MLA Kapil Mishra for alleging that he had bought the Rajya Sabha seat for Rs 50 crore.
Vishwas then went on to target Congress President Rahul Gandhi for unable to secure majority for his party and a wife for himself.
