Vishwas has officially not commented on the news but posted a sarcastic tweet, which said that he was joining ‘ Congress-TMC-AIDMK-BJD-JMM-AGP Etc.”

His party colleague and Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia, took to Twitter to claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi too will join Congress after UP polls.

His tweet read, “I’ve received a report that the prime minister will join Congress after UP elections. He has already met Rahul Gandhi.”

The Times of India report had also claimed that Vishwas was likely to meet BJP Chief Amit Shah before a formal announcement was made adding that he may be ‘ushered in at the BJP UP office in Lucknow.’

Uttar Pradesh goes to poll in seven stages beginning next month.
