Kejriwal asks Modi to sack ministers and apologise over dalit student’s death

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sack his ministers and issue apology over the suicide of a dalit scholar in Hyderabad.

He tweeted, “Modi govt constitutionally duty bound to uplift dalits. Instead Modi ji’s ministers got five dalit students ostracised n suspended.

“It’s not suicide. It’s murder. It’s murder of democracy, social justice n equality. Modi ji shd sack ministers n aplogoize to the nation. (Sic)”

Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula had committed suicide on Sunday after being expelled by the University administration allegedly at the behest of two senior ministers in the Modi government namely Bandaru Dattatreya and Smriti Irani.
