Comedian actor Kapil Sharma has decided to approach his former co-star and friend Sunil Grover to plan their next venture together.
Both actors had fallen out spectacularly after Kapil allegedly misbehaved with Sunil during an in-flight brawl while returning from Australia. Sunil had walked off The Kapil Sharma Show, prompting the show’s ratings to tank. This then led to the channel dropping the show altogether.
However, Kapil, who’s been away from TV for several weeks now has told Mid-Day that he’s going to start a conversation with Sunil for a new show together when the latter returns from Canada.
He said, “He is currently in Canada. As soon as he returns, we will meet up and discuss the possibility of a new show. Hopefully, we should be back together.”
Kapil said that ‘the rest of the cast members are also ready to come on board.’ Along with Sunil, Chandan Prabhakar, Sugandha Mishra and Ali Asgar too had left the show.
If indeed they are back together, this will be a huge news for all comedy fans, who’ve had to live without a good comedy show on TV since the demise of The Kapil Sharma Show.
In July, during a Facebook Live, Kapil had made a desperate emotional plea urging Sunil to return to the show. Kapil had said, “Sunil is a friend and a brother to me and I even went to meet him. Let’s see. He can come back whenever he wishes… Our controversy was blown out of proportion. They said that I was miffed with my team for eating dinner before me but I came on the same flight. I didn’t jump off some another flight.”
