New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir government, jointly led by the PDP and BJP, has on Tuesday issued a list of restrictions on activities during various social, private and government functions organised in the state.
“The government has imposed restrictions on injudicious use of essential commodities in social, government and private functions,” said Consumer Affairs Minister Choudhary Zulfikar Ali.
Use of loud speakers and fire crackers in any gathering be it organised by the government or people in general has also been banned with effect from April 1.
Interestingly, you won’t be allowed to send sweets or dry fruits with invitation cards to your nearest and dearest ones.
The J&K government has also restricted number of guests for wedding ceremonies of daughters and sons to 500 and 400 respectively. Not more than 100 guests will be allowed to attend small functions like engagements.
The coalition government in the state is led by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
