Jet Airways gets trolled on twitter for its handling of Kanhaiya Kumar’s alleged strangulation


India’s private airlines Jet Airways has been slammed on social media for its handling of the alleged attempt to strangulate the JNU Students’ leader Kanhaiya Kumar.

JNU Students Union leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Sunday had claimed that a man attempted to strangulate him at Mumbai airport.

The young leader said that Manas was an employee of TCS and was a strong BJP supporter, who “assaulted me inside the aircraft. Is assault the only tool you have, to fight dissent?”


After carried the report, Jet Airways sent us the following statement.

The statement read, “Some guests on today’s Jet Airways flight 9W Mumbai to Pune have been off loaded at Mumbai airport in the interests of operational safety. At Jet Airways, the safety and security of our guests and crew is always of prime importance.”

However, the Jet Airways’ decision to offload Kanhaiya even though he was a victim of the attack, left social media users incredibly incensed. From social activist to lawyers, everyone slammed the private airlines for its utter insensitivity.
