Four CRPF personnel and at least 4 civilians were injured when alleged militants hurled grenades in an incident at KP Road in Anantnag, South Kashmir on Wednesday.
All the injured have been taken to the local district hospital, a correspondent told Jantakareporter.com.
This is the second militant attack in the region in one week. In the last such grenade attack, one civilian was killed and six others including a CRPF jawan were left injured.
The attack also comes only two days after eight persons, including three civilians five policemen were killed in the attacks on Dinanagar police station (Punjab) carried out by heavily-armed terrorists in army uniform.
CCTV footage of three militants walking on a main road hours before the siege suggested that the attack was planned in Pakistan.
Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit today cancelled his visit to Punjab after the Ministry of External Affairs refused to grant necessary permissions to his entourage.
