India thrash Pakistan 5-1 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup match


Indian hockey team thrashed arch-rival Pakistan 5-1 in Azlan Shah Cup encounter in Ipoh in Malaysia on Tuesday. With this win, India have now moved to second spot.

Striker SV Sunil scored two goals, while Talwinder Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh also scored a goal each.

As reported by ANI, India started the match with a very positive approach and took the lead through Manpreet Singh’s goal very early in the match.

Pakistan too stepped up their game were quick to score with Muhammad Irfan smashing an equalizer in the sixth minute.

But Indian fans didn’t have to wait as Sunil came up with his opening goal in 10th minute before scoring he netted again for India in the 41st minute.

India’s next match is against the New Zealand on Wednesday.
