Pakistan’s cricket coach Waqar Younis said on Friday that India were under immense pressure for Saturday’s crucial tie against his side at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.

India and Pakistan are scheduled to meet in Kolkata in the ongoing T20 World Cup competition.

Pakistan have never beaten India in any World Cup events in both One Day International and Twenty20 formats.

Speaking to reporters in Kolkata, Younis said that his team had no such psychological disadvantages.

He said, “India too is under pressure. It’s wrong to say they are not. Kolkata has always been a great place, always gave us love and support not just on the field but outside too.”

He said, “The pitch is really good and we have a very good bowling attack. We just need good runs on the board.”

He denied the reports that his side’s batting was not performing adding that Pakistan were the only side that scored over 200 runs in the current tournament.

He said that Riaz Wahab is a match winner hoping that he rises to the occasion.

“But he’s all pumped up for the big match against India,” he added.

Younis said that he wouldn’t worry about Indian weaknesses adding that he was only focussing on his side’s positives including the bowling advantage.
