Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Jagdeep Singh’s wife has denied media reports that her husband was arrested for alleged assault by Delhi Police.

Raminder Kaur told janstakareporter.com that she was surprised how the rumour of her husband’s arrest was spread adding that she suspected foul play by Delhi Police.

Kaur said, “the SHO had come to our house on Sunday and informed us about the complaint by the local BJP Councillor, Shyam Sharma, about the alleged incident on 21 May. He spent quite a long time chatting with us, my mother-in-law and even had lassi at our house. He said that it was a minor complaint and asked Jagdeep to accompany them to Harinagar police station for some formality. But, while my husband was busy speaking to the cops at the police station, the news flashed that he had been arrested.”

Jagdeep asked the MCD officials but they refused to help. When he didn’t get any help from the MCD, he decided to clean the area with the help of his volunteers. But the MCD decided to park its waste collecting vehicles outside our house leading to heated argument. But there was no assault.”
