Harassed for proposing and hugging his ‘fiancé’ in public, Muslim boy issues public apology

A Muslim couple in Mahrashtra is in the eye of storm from two religious organisations after the video of boy proposing to and hugging his fiancé on a busy street went viral.

Both the boy and girl hail from Bhiwandi. In the video, the boy is seen hugging a girl, who he says was going to be engaged with him. The incident took place in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The boy’s act leaves many surprised with some even clapping in excitement.

However, some Muslim organisations did not condone the couple’s behaviour and allegedly began harassing the family. According to media reports, National Lokhind Party and Raza Academy even threatened to demonstrate against the young couple, who they accused of indulging in unIslamic actions.

The boy in question has since released several videos of apology promising never to repeat such actions in future. In one video (below), the boy begs for forgiveness vowing never to repeat this again in future.
