MNS chief Raj Thackeray has made a chilling prediction that the BJP may orchestrate another Pulwama-like terror attack to win this year’s Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing his party workers on the 13th Foundation Day of the MNS, Thackeray accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of indulging in constant lies. He said, “There is a limit to speaking lies. Lies are being spoken to win elections. In a bid to win upcoming elections, there will be another Pulwama like attack within the next 1-2 months.”
Highlighting the glaring hypocrisy of the Modi government, Thackeray reminded how, in the immediate aftermath of the 2017 stand-off between India and China over Doklam, the Centre had urged citizens to stay away from Chinese products. However, he added, the Modi government ‘failed to answer where did the material used in the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat came from.’
“…Is the real enemy inside or outside the country”? he was quoted by news agency PTI.
Thackeray said that there has been a history of terror attack before key elections under Modi as India’s prime minister. Referring to 2015 Pathankot terror attack, the MNS chief said that PM Modi had met his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on December 25, 2015 and gave him a cake on his birthday.
Thackeray, according to PTI, said, “In the next seven days, the Pathankot terror attack took place. At that time, (assembly) elections were due in four states in the next three months.”
Last month, the MNS chief had made a stunning allegation against National Security Advisor Ajit Doval accusing the Centre’s Narendra Modi government of orchestrating the Pulwama terror attack for political gains.
Calling 45 CRPF soldiers, who died in the 14 February attack, ‘political victims,’ Thackeray said that the truth will come out if Doval was investigated. The MNS chief, according to news agency PTI, said while speaking in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, “If NSA Ajit Doval is investigated, then all the truth about the Pulwama terror attack will come out.”
