Delhi government sources have confirmed to Janta Ka Reporter that a transfer order was issued to home secretary Dharam Pal. While some sections of the media stated that Pal was transferred due to his involvement in appointment of MK Meena as ACB Delhi head, Pal himself reportedly stated that no specific reason was given to him for the transfer.
“I received the order during lunch time. The order of appointment (of Meena) was not signed by me but by a deputy secretary from my department. I have not been given any reason for my transfer. I have only been told to report to MHA for further posting. There was no prior indication of my transfer,” Dharam Pal told the Indian Express
However later in the evening, it was reported that Lt Governor Najeeb Jung rejected Delhi government’s decision to transfer Home Secretary Dharam Pal.
Earlier today, Director Vigilance of Delhi Government has sent Mukesh Meena back to Delhi police.
Joint Commissioner M K Meena has been made the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Delhi instead of Additional Commissioner S S Yadav who was hand-picked by the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government in Delhi.
