Popular Patidar leader Hardik Patel on Tuesday supported the nomination of poet-politician Kumar Vishwas for the Rajya Sabha soon after AAP reportedly finalised three names for the Upper House.
Taking to Twitter, Patel wrote, “If there’s one person who can silence the fake nationalists inside the parliament, then he is Kumar Vishwas. But I don’t know why someone in Aam Aadmi Party will have a sense of insecurity from him. So much so that they are on hell bent on killing both the party and the opportunity.”
AAP on Tuesday reportedly finalised the three names it intends to send to Rajya Sabha after 16 January elections.
According to a report by News18, they are Sanjay Singh, Sushil Gupta and ND Gupta.
ND Gupta is a chartered accountant and is currently functioning as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s vice president. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has showered praises on him in the past.
As for Sushil Gupta, he is currently the president of Punjabi Bagh Club and had recently left Congress to join Aam Aadmi Party. He had also contested the assembly polls on Congress ticket.
