Six members of same family electrocuted in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur

In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district, six members of a same family were killed after a high-tension wire falls on them.

News agency ANI reported that the incident took place in Benibad village of Gaighat Block, about 30 kms away from Muzaffarpur, Bihar’s second largest city.

Benibad is situated on the Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga highway.

Elsewhere, the hailstorm and lightning have left at least nine people dead in Bihar in the last 24 hours.

Aside from Muzaffarpur, those killed were in Purnea, Jahanabad, Jamui, Dharbanga and Nawada.

Maximum rainfall was recorded in Purnea. The hailstorm has also damaged mango and litchi crops.

According to the MeT department, eastern part of the state is likely to experience some rain today.
