Ex BJP MLA alleges secret deal between AIMIM and BJP before Bihar polls

Former BJP MLA, senior advocate and President of the Gujarat High Court Advocates Association, Yatin Oza, has made sensational allegations against the BJP President, Amit Shah and the AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Oza, who is expected to join Aam Aadmi Party, alleged that just before the Bihar elections, the two had met to strike a ‘secret deal.

In his three-page letter written to Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Oza claimed that the BJP President and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi had tacit understanding and both even met in 2015 to plan strategy for Bihar elections.

He wrote, “..I would like to draw your attention about the meeting that took place between Shri Amit Shah and Shri Akbaruddin Owaisi at former’s residence at 3 am on 15th Sept. 2015. I was present in the said meeting. A detailed discussion took place and it was agreed that Shri Owaisi shall field his candidates from Bihar particularly in the Muslim belt that was to go to polls on 5th November (last phase). It was also decided that Shri Owaisi will vomit poisonous communal speech the script of which shall be written by Shri Amit Shah, which may have potentiality to result into communal divide in the society.”

The BJP dismissed Oza’s claim as nothing but “an exercise to seek media attention.”

“Just like their leader Kejriwal, people who are either associated with AAP or wanting to join that party are known to do such drama. Allegations by Oza are nothing but an attempt to get attention of media. Owaisi has already refuted Oza’s claims,” Gujarat BJP’s media convener Harshad Patel was quoted by the PTI.

jantakareporter.com on Monday asked the AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi and the BJP President, Amit Shah requesting them to either confirm or deny the allegations. This was after the AIMIM chief threatened to sue jantakareporter while making defamatory comments about the website.

jantakareporter.com will carry their reactions as and when we get them.

In the high-stake Bihar election, the JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance secured 178 seats in the 243-member state Assembly whereas the BJP-led NDA could bag only 58 seats.

AIMIM, which had contested in Seemanchal region in four districts of Araria, Purnea, Kishanganj, Katihar, drew a blank.
