Gamlin Row: Indira Jaisingh backs Delhi govt

Former ASG Indira Jaising has sent her legal opinion regarding the ongoing tussle between Delhi government and LG Najeeb Jung after Delhi government sought her legal opinion in the matter.
Jaising said, “No provision granting to LG power to act at his own discretion in the matter of appointment of the Chief secy”

Speaking to news agency ANI, Delhi`s BJP unit President Satish Upadhyay commented that, “I don`t think Delhi Govt is working according to the Constitution.”

While on the other hand, Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said, “Delhi has a people`s govt, not president`s rule. Earlier Delhi governments surrendered, we won`t.”

Earlier, Supreme Court advocate Rajeev Dhawan, had said that right to receive information doesn`t give the L-G the right to interfere.
