In a gruesome act, a woman was gangraped by four men in fron of her husband and their infant in Muzaffarnagar. The rapists, according to ANI news agency, gangraped the 25-year-old woman on Friday after tying up her husband as the infant cried incessantly.
The family was returning from their visit to pediatrician when they were stopped by the rapists, whose identities have not yet been disclosed. The men beat up the husband before tying him up and took the woman in the nearby sugarcane field, where they gangraped the victim.
They also threatened her and her husband against disclosing the incident to anyone. Few farmers from the nearby field came to their rescue after they screamed for help. When informed about the crime, cops took the family to the hospital for treatment and her medical examination.
Ajay Sahdev, SP Rural, Muzaffarnagar, said, “We are waiting for her medical report. A case has been registered against the four and investigation is underway.”
The victim told ANI, “Four men dragged me to a sugarcane farm and raped me. They constantly threatened to kill my child, also tied and beat up my husband”.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Sehdev stated, “The incident happened when the woman was returning from a village with her husband and three-month-old child on a motorbike. An FIR has been registered in this case; medical examination of both the victim and her husband is being done; also investigation is underway”.
This comes on the day it was reported how a UP Police personnel had disgraced his uniform by touching the feet of a BJP MLA, who’s an accused in Muzaffarnagar riots.
