Man sent to jail for Facebook comments in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh


Facebook comment against Prime Minister Narendra has proved to be very costly for a youth in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh youth in jail.


The youth, identified as Ravi Chaurasia, was booked for his objectionable comment after a Facebook group ‘NaMo Group’ complained to the police about the ‘objectionable’ remark against the PM.

Website News18 reported that the youth Ravi Chaurasia from Baghana, Neemuch, had been booked under IPC 506, 507 and IT Act.

Chaurasia was produced before a magistrate before being sent to jail.

In its complaint, the NaMo group said that they wrote a post on Facebook on Hanuman Jayanti which was subsequently shared by the accused with an ‘indecent’ comment.

The group has also submitted screenshots of the remark.
