In few hours time, Mahednra Singh Dhoni, the most successful captain of Indian cricket team will have another feather to his cap. He will be officially declared a Colonel Paratrooper.
Dhoni, was recently granted Honorary Commission into 106 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Para Regiment has been undergoing his ground for his jumps at Para training school in Agra for over 10 days.
One officer said, “Dhoni has started behaving like a true soldier. His body language, physique, haircut all resemble an army officer. He’s been interacting with us like a true fauji. He’s been attending fauji parties not like a cricketer but as a true fauji.”
Dhoni had said how he wanted to go for parachute jumps course not only ‘toe earn his WINGS but also to rightfully be a part of the Para fraternity’ by qualifying to wear what’s known as maroon barret.
Para Regiment, say some officers, is epitome to valour and sacrifice and also known to be one of the toughest in the world.
