PM Modi failed to learn a lesson from Vajpayee: Ex-RAW chief


Former Research and Analysis Wing chief A.S. Dulat has slammed Prime Minister Modi by saying that he had failed to learn lessons from former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee over tackling the Kashmir issue.

Dulat said, “Modi’s ‘no dialogue’ policy with Pakistan is an error of judgement.”

He added that dialogue was essential and crucial and said the same was done during Vajpayee’s tenure.

He said the former PM was a rare combination of a statesman and a politician.

Dulat, who headed RAW from 1999 to 2000, praised Vajpayee, claiming that probably he was the only the PM who understood the Jammu and Kashmir issue after Jawaharlal Nehru.
