Earthquake in Guwahati, tremors felt in Kolkata and Delhi


There’s been an earthquake in Guwahati in Assam, reports news agency ANI.

The tremors have been felt in Patna in Bihar, Kolkata in West Bengal and in Delhi as well.

Some reports suggested that  7.1 magnitude earthquake Myanmar.

Kolkata-based newspaper The Telegraph reported, “Calcutta shaken by #earthquake magnitude 4.3 with epicentre in #Nepal 34km north of Ramechap.”

People in Kolkata vacated their homes and came out in the wake of tremors felt in the city.

Former India cricketer, Kirti Azad tweeted, “felt tremors in #Darbhanga. I was sitting on 2nd floor at my residence. No news of any loss so far. Thank God Keeping my fingers crossed.”

BJD MP from Odisha, Jay Panda, tweeted, “Building I’m sitting in just shook in Bhubaneswar. Short, but not mild. Where’s the earthquake?”
