Delhi’s vigilance dept requested to probe corruption worth crores involving Ashish Joshi


Delhi based Centre for Holistic Development has written to the vigilance department requesting it to investigate the former member-secretary, Delhi Dialogue Commission, Ashish Joshi for his alleged role in a scam in Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.

The complainant said that the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung had allotted Rs 12 crore to the DUSIB in 2014 -15. The money was meant to be used for the rehabilitation of Delhi’s homeless people.

But, the complainant, known as Sunil Kumar Aledia, says that the money allocated was misused .

20000 blankets were allegedly purchased at double the market price, while misappropriation took place in the tender process too.

Aledia further asks the vigilance department to also investigate the corruption invlolving large sums of money in the name of ‘nasha mukt kendra.’
