According to media reports, Delhi Police is filing chargesheet against 21 Aam Admi Party MLAs in various cases ranging from molestation, storing liquor bottle in premises etc.
Reports also suggest thaat out of the 25 cases based on which the Delhi Police will file the chargesheet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been named in six cases.
AAP leader Naresh Baliyan from Uttam Nagar, Delhi is reportedly named in the liquor bottle case. Another AAP MLA from Kondli, Manoj Kumar has been named in the chargesheet for a molestation case while Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel has also been charged for beating up people.
AAP leader Ashutosh took to Twitter and said that the news of chargesheet was political in nature and aimed at diverting the public’s attention from the Lalit Modi- Sushma Swaraj controversy. Ashutosh tweeted the following.
In another tweet, AAP member Dilip Pandey stated that it seemed as if Delhi Police was ruling Delhi.
Reacting to the issue, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said, “Mujhe pata nhi ki aapko ye jaankaari kahan se mili hai, iss prakar ki ginti maine to ki nhi hai.”
“If any such cases are pending, our objective is to complete the investigation as fast as possible. Then report based on facts revealed during investigation will be produced before Court; it could be chargesheet or cancellation report”, Bassi further added.
