A senior officer of the Delhi Police told Indian Express that those arrested had been identified as 23-year-old Rajiv Sharma, 31-year-old Hemraj Kumar and 34-year-old Aditya Kumar from Delhi. The fourth person, 45-year-old Shabbir Gurfan Pinjari, is a resident of Surat in Gujarat.

Taking to Twitter, Barkha wrote that she was determined to ensure that each one of them was jailed. “Four men arrested by Delhi Police cyber cell for stalking me, sexually abusing me, sending me nude/D#ck pictures and in one case threatening to kill me. However this is not over. I have listed ten more numbers in my FIR and before a magistrate. Will follow till each one jailed,” she wrote.

Barkha had faced vicious online attack after she made her mobile number available for Kashmiris in distress amidst reports of they being attacked in Delhi post Pulwama terror attack. She had later informed that her haters had deluged her inbox with lewd photos and message in a bid to harass her. She had tweeted, “Deluged with WhatsApp messages since yesterday that are abusive and threatening. Seems an organised hate campaign against some of us. One sender confirms my mobile number being circulated in groups.”

The National Commission for Women had written to the Delhi Police, asking it to speed up the probe into her allegations.
