A public school bus carrying over 30 students overturned near Kashmere Gate in the national capital on Tuesday morning injuring at least 14 children.
A senior police official said, ” “The incident happened at around 8 AM when the bus was coming from the ISBT flyover. Some pedestrians were crossing the road and the driver in a bid to stop the bus applied brakes. He is believed to have lost control over the vehicle and overturned.”
A Delhi government spokesperson said that the health minister Satyendar Jain had directed the trauma centre authorities to conduct a “thorough and minute” check-up of children injured in RTV mishap.
The government statement read, “Trauma Centre says out of 14 children, two need to be kept under observation for minor injuries. All other are fine.”
