Delhi government’s cabinet minister Kapil Mishra has responded to the blog written by the BJP President Amir Shah on the ongoing controversy on the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
In a five minute video, Mishra asked the BJP why it had formed alliance with the PDP to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir when it’s so incensed with the alleged chanting of pro-Afzal Guru sloganeering.
PDP, he said, is a political party, which considered Guru as a martyr.
The Delhi minister was hinting to a statement a group of PDP MLAs had issued in March last year stating that the execution of Guru was a ‘travesty of justice.’
The photo of Amit Shah posing with the PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti too had gone viral.
He also called it a failure of the central government and Delhi police that they had not been able to ascertain the identities of those who chanted anti-India slogans.
There were reports that the anti-national slogans were chanted by the members of the RSS-affiliated students’ body ABVP.
