In a shocking development, a couple was found having sex in broad daylight at Mumbai’s famous tourist attraction, Nariman Point on a road divider. Undeterred by the public gaze, the couple remained engrossed in their sexual act even as onlookers continued to film their escapades.
Soon the police arrived and the couple reportedly fled from the scene. A search is on to nab the man, believed to be a foreign national. The cops have detained the woman, who’s believed to be from Goa. There are also reports that the woman was mentally unstable since she gave conflicting statements to police.
“The woman seems to be mentally unstable. She was unable to tell her address or contact number of any of her relatives or where she resided,” a report in Times of India quoted DCP Manoj Kumar Sharma as saying.
Meanwhile, photos and video of the couple’s sexual act have gone viral on social media.
The incident, according to a report by NDTV, took place between the Air India Building and Marine Hotel Plaza, on the busy thoroughfare of Marine Drive, also known as Queen’s Necklace. The spot was just a few metres from the Maharashtra state government headquarters.
Quoting police sources, news agency IANS reported that the woman appeared to be mentally unstable and has been sent to the Mahila Suraksha Kendra in Chembur. Further investigation is on, the police told news agency IANS.
The police are scanning the CCTV footage in the area to track down the man, besides checking local hotels, and Foreigners Regional Registration Office for his identity.
