In a latest twist to degree controversy surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a former professor has cast his doubts over the authenticity of the subjects being stated in his MA certificates.
According to Modi’s Professor at Gujarat University, subjects mentioned in MA certificate allegedly did not exist.
Patel claims to have taught at Gujarat University during the period Modi reportedly studied there for his Masters degree, more precisely between 1969 and 1993.
Patel wrote on his Facebook page, “Narendra Modi M.A. Subjects.
In the Indian Express a statement by v-c. of Gujarat University is published stating that Narendra Modi passed his M.A. an part -2.He gives name of certain papers and marks as follows;
‘The breakup of marks in second year MA shows that Modi obtained 64 marks in political science, 62 marks in European and social political thoughts, 69 marks in modern India/political analysis, and 67 marks in political psychology,’ he said.
“However, there seems something wrong with the names of the papers, to my knowledge, there were no such papers offered in part-2 to internal or external students. I was on faculty of department of Political Science and used to teach there, during 1969 – 1993 June.
Narendra Modi joined M.A. part -1 in political science as regular student, however his presence was not sufficient in my class to grant his term and I have never condoned it, of course others may have granted it but he was advised to appear externally thenceforth.”
This explosive revelation will give credence to Modi’s detractors such as Aam Aadmi Party, which has launched a sustained campaign questioning the legitimacy of his BA degree reportedly obtained from Delhi University.
Meanwhile, activists in Ahmedabad, pointed out more anomalies related to Modi’s educational documents as revealed by the BJP President Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley on Monday.
Roshan Shah, an RTI activist, highlighted that the university stated in his MA degree was spelled with b in place of v.
On Tuesday, three AAP leaders visited Delhi University to check Modi’s degrees only to find a presence of huge police personnel. Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan and Dilip Pandey were reportedly told to come tomorrow as the administration ‘promised’ to meet them on Wednesday.
