In a rare consensus on any issue in Delhi politics, Congress leaders on Tuesday turned up at the all-party meeting called by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP, for it part, chose to boycott the meeting.
The meeting was called to discuss the ongoing sealing drive against traders in the national capital. Kejriwal tweeted, “ Had a v good meeting wid reps of Congress. BJP boycotted. I wish BJP had also participated in the interest of Delhi’s traders. (Sic)”

Kejriwal was responding to a tweet by his party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Sushil Gupta, who wrote, “ The future of those who work with hundreds of traders in Delhi is also on the stake, so today CM Arvind Kejriwal has called an all-party, in which the Congress came, but BJP did not attend the meeting. what does BJP want from traders? #StopSealingBJP.”
Among those present from Congress were the party’s Delhi unit chief, Ajay Maken, and Arvinder Singh Lovely. From AAP, among those who were present included AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and MLA Somnath Bharti.
