Complete ban on alcohol in Bihar, army canteens to be exempt


Bihar on Tuesday became the fourth state after Gujarat, Mizoram and Nagaland to become a dry state in India.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced on Tuesday the complete ban on alcohol in the state with immediate effect.

He said that no hotels and bars will be allowed to serve alcohol now and the government will not issue license in future. But the army canteens will continue to seel alcohol to soldiers.
