Police in London say they they are investigating blasts which they treating as “incident” in the city’s underground train.
The blasts are reported to have taken place on a District Line underground train at Parsons Green, south-west London, reported BBC News.
Officers and ambulance staff are on the scene after social media erupted with reports of an “explosion” in a carriage.
A picture on social media showed a white bucket inside a supermarket bag. Transport for London tweeted: “We are investigating an incident at Parsons Green.”
Sky News reported that there was no service between Earls Court and Wimbledon on the District Line.
One commuter on Twitter said that the driver of the train had announced a train at Parsons Green had put in a mayday call.
Another person tweeted: “Everyone is screaming running off trains.”
