BJP delegation objects to Jan Lokpal Bill, asks LG Najeeb Jung to intervene


BJP on Thursday questioned the anti-graft Jan Lokpal Bill passed by the Delhi government cabinet.

A party delegation has taken their ‘complaint’ to the Lieutenant Governor, Najeeb Jung, requesting him to intervene.

The leader of opposition in Delhi assembly, Vijender Gupta, told reporters that the Aam Aadmi Party government had misled the people on the bill.

The BJP has yet to receive the copy of the bill, passed by the Delhi cabinet. So, the question may arise as to which part of the bill the BJP is not happy about. Gupta said that the AAP government ought to have taken the approval of the LG before passing the bill.
